Map Out — Hong Kong bus and minibus arrival times on a live map
Map Out is a free web app for Hong Kong public transport. See real-time bus and minibus ETAs (estimated times of arrival) for nearby stops on an interactive map, including KMB, Citybus, green minibus (GMB), and RVM recycling points.
Who is Map Out for?
Commuters, residents, and visitors who want a fast map-first view of what is coming next at stops around them—without switching between operator apps. Map Out combines stop locations with live or cached arrival data in one place.
Operators and coverage
- KMB — major bus routes across Kowloon and the New Territories
- Citybus — Hong Kong Island, cross-harbour, and airport services
- GMB (green minibus) — local minibus routes with stop-level ETAs
- RVM — reverse vending machine locations on the map
Live ETAs and offline-friendly data
Arrival times refresh on a schedule you control in settings. When you are offline or the network is slow, Map Out can show cached ETAs with a clear warning so you know data may not be current. Stop data syncs to your browser for faster repeat visits.
Location permission
Location is optional. If you allow it, the map centres on you and ranks nearby stops. If you decline, Map Out uses a default Hong Kong area so you can still browse stops and times.
Privacy
Map Out runs in your browser. Location stays on your device unless you choose to share it with the browser’s geolocation API. We do not require an account to use the map.
